Bri has spent the last ten years travelling and living in many different countries on a quest to understand the purpose of being alive. She finds tremendous nourishment and joy in connecting with the communities and environments she lives in and playing with the concepts of conscious living. These explorations led her to the path of yoga and the pursuit of internal peace.
In 2015, she moved to Salt Spring Island on Canada’s west coast where she served as a karma yogi for two years. Here she studied the concepts of selfless service, intentional community living, and traditional Ashtanga yoga. In 2017, Bri completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training. She recently had the opportunity to study restorative yoga in San Francisco with Judith Lasater and loves playing with the idea of support and rest as a way to heal the body.
She is a certified Usui Reiki Master, passionate about cooking and gardening, and continues to serve in her community through the commitment to a conscious life journey.
Q&A with Bri
What inspires you?
I always seem to feel most inspired when I am spending time with mother nature.
What song moves you?
One of my favourite classics is Ain’t No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye. It is such a quick and fun way to get grooving, shake off a bad day, or wake up with a good giggle.
What do you love about your job?
I have many jobs and I love the variety because each one keeps me learning, growing and exploring. I love sharing yoga because, as a teacher once told me, “You must teach to learn.”
