B.A. Dance, A.D.A.P.T., R.A.D
Miss Paige has been dancing since the young age of 3, completing many A.D.A.P.T. jazz exams and R.A.D ballet exams along the way. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Calgary, with a major in dance, and her involvement in courses like Dance Education led her to secure her career choice in teaching. She began her teaching career in 2011, educating students in the styles of Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop and Tap.
It was during this time that her passion for teaching blossomed in the education of younger children. She was involved in running a program for preschool-aged children from 2013-2018; teaching rhythm and dance through the use of imagination and theme. She has also been involved in the Fine Arts Club program at Soul Connexion for 4 years now and holds her Child Development Assistant certificate.
She loves sharing her passion for dance and teaching with Soul Connexion students.
Q&A with Miss Paige
What inspires you?
Music is my main inspiration. I love being able to hear a song and relate to the story it’s telling. It fuels my creativity and allows me to create choreography that matches either the story, or my emotions.
What song moves you?
Gravity by John Mayer
What do you love about your job?
I love being able to share my knowledge and experience with my students. Seeing them learn and grow is the most rewarding experience I have ever been exposed to.
