We follow the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus ensuring our dancers are learning best practices and ensuring all of our dancers are safe. Acro requires strength and flexibility and so dancers will work on skills and drills before being able to execute tricks.
Join us for a class that will improve your strength, flexibility, body awareness, and overall dance skills as you learn basic acrobatics. Acro is a physically demanding program that is great for students who are looking for a challenge and to increase their agility.
Dancers will progress with turns, jumps, and off the floor moves including cartwheels, aerials, handsprings, walk overs, dive rolls, and more. Not only will your child enhance their abilities and endurance, they will feel a sense of accomplishment, strengthen their work ethic, and take pride in seeing improvements each and every class.
The process of training is as important as the outcome of training. Classes will include circuit training to build strength and muscle endurance in order to properly and safely execute the tricks of acrobatics. The exercises provided in the circuits provide skill sets necessary to perform acrobatics. Stretching is incorporated throughout the classes to enhance the overall performance of the dancer both in choreography and performing acrobatics tricks.
Dancers will be using the gymnastics mats, blocks, and headstand pillows for safety. The strength a dancer can achieve through Acro will enhance their skill in all styles of dance.
